Already in June POOLgroup’s branch in Berlin has moved to new premises within the capital. The in-crease in the number of employees made it necessary to move from Berlin-Kreuzberg to Berlin centre. With 10 permanent employees the subsidiary has almost doubled. After a short time POOLgroup found an appropriate location in the cradle of Berlin. The Nikolaiviertel does not only attract numerous Berlin tourists, it is also the place where today’s capital was established in 1200 with the construction of the famous Nikolai-Church.

Nikolai-Church and the small park remind me of Westphalia” – those were the first words of POOLgroup Managing Partner Carl Cordier while visiting the new office. In the second floor of Kunsthaus Lempertz the employees of POOLgroup find their new home. Mainly unit POOLproduction is represented in Berlin. But also POOL’s further core competences find sufficient space to look after its well-known and new customers.
Thus about 120 guests gathered in the new office on the occasion of its inauguration. The auction house Lempertz provided its exhibition rooms in the ground-floor - POOL’s event professionals changed this location into a lounge-bar. Many of the guests were sure that this location has always been a bar before.

Besides many customers coming from Berlin Ministries or agents, even representatives of Berlin event agencies or friends came to join this reception, too. On of the highlights of the evening was the surprise visit of star cook Horst Lichter, who spontaneously gave a short welcome speech at the bar. The gastro-nomic focus of the evening was Westphalia, so that Horst Lichter had brought along a potato soup for the guests. At the end of the evening both guests and host were of the same opinion: This was a suc-cessful opening event.
