„It is really sensational that my heroes of the 80s are rehearsing here in Emsdetten for a period of 10 days” – these were the words of Markus Gärtling, head of POOLcreation, when the well-known funk-rock-rhythm could be heard in the Emsdetten rehearsal centre. Gärtling, a convinced rock guitarist himself, immediately contacted Moses Mo, guitarist of Mother's Finest during a rehearsal break to get some background information about the band and its history..

Apart from the legendary US-American band Carl Carlton and his Songdogs rehearsed in the POOL stu-dio, too.“ After we had already rehearsed last year in Emsdetten on the occasion of the release of our CD “Songs for the Lost and Brave”, we spontaneously came back to this beautiful location” – said Carl Carlton during a barbecue near the legendary POOL pond in Emsdetten. Especially the familiar atmosphere and the ideal conditions are appreciated by the band. This appreciation ranges from the space in the POOL hall to the recording studio as well as to the fantastic sport activities (soccer, golf, swimming in the nearby municipal pool called “Waldfreibad”). The local hotels with an ideal cost-benefit ratio match well with this familiar situation.

After 11 rehearsal days and a few TV performances Mother's Finest and Carl Carlton & his Songdogs are going to start for a common tour through Germany.
