Our Strong Team – The Basis of Our Success

There are many illusions about careers in the event management business: A fashionable atmosphere, mixing with the stars, drinking champagne. That would be nice, but it is not our world. We work hard behind the curtains. We ensure that everything runs smoothly – often under great pressure. Our work demands a grounded approach, technical know-how, customer orientation, a service mentality, organisational skills and a talent for improvisation. If you have these skills, then you are in the right place.

Needless to say, at the POOLgroup, it is all about events. However, our focus is the people. Without our dedicated and motivated staff, the best planning and most expensive technology would be useless. It is the people who bring an event to life, who get the sound sounding and the light lighting. It is the people behind the scenes who create the events and experiences, which move, inspire and excite our customers and their guests.

In order to be able to do a really good job for our customers, we need the very best talent – people with motivation and dedication and first-rate qualifications. Candidates must provide their personal talents themselves, however when it comes to qualifications, we support our staff in everyway we can.

When we began back in the 1970s, our founders and staff were enthusiastic and self-taught. There simply weren't many courses in our field. Today it is different. Many jobs in the event management business have long since become recognised professions. As a result, the professionals of the future are being systematically introduced to their future responsibilities. We are good at this too. Besides the course to become an event technician and an event manager, since summer 2011 we have also been running the course to become a warehouse logistician. As such, we have become the most important training company in our regional chamber (Münster North Chamber of Commerce), and we are thrilled. After all, we know that well-trained staff are our greatest capital.
