POOLhistory

The POOLgroup is an owner-managed, medium-sized, service company working in the field of event production and management. The company provides all the services required to run events of all kinds and sizes.

The current structure of the group came into being in 2009, with the amalgamation of four subsidiaries that had already had many years of success on the market. These subsidiaries positioned themselves independently within the various market segments from the very beginning thanks to their competence in their respective industries. In order to guarantee a high level of corporate identity and to be able to provide our customers with numerous synergy effects, we merged these individual companies under the single umbrella of the POOLgroup GmbH. So, as you can see; we are a young company with a long tradition.

It all began in 1978 in the Münsterland town of Emsdetten, with the founding of Westfalen Sound, which these days stands as the POOLsound unit. This makes us one of the oldest and best-known companies in the European market for high-quality sound engineering. At the beginning, there was rock 'n' roll. This remains an important area of work for us, as can be seen in the tours with Metallica or Udo Jürgens. However, we have long since been covering the entire spectrum of the sound engineering market as well, not just in the music business.

1989 and 1991 mark an important turning point for us. With the new founding of two sister companies, we took a big step towards becoming a comprehensive event service provider. The POOLgroup, as it stands in its current form, began to take shape.

From sound engineering to lighting – it is an obvious step if you work in the event business. The Light Concept began its life in 1989 as our specialists in light and lighting technology. Nowadays it is the POOLlight unit.

The larger the event, the more important the precise planning, and by this we mean far more than just the technical issues. In 1991, we pooled these professionals to form their own company – Trend Event, now known as POOLproduction. The unit provides both assistance and advice, as well as the responsible realisation of a complete event. MS Video GmbH was founded in 1996. Today known as POOLpicture, this unit is responsible for media visualisations, for example large screen projection and presentation and conference technology.

With POOLcreation – our youngest unit – we have now bundled the entire creative expertise under the POOLgroup roof. As such, we can offer our customers the necessary planning, organisational and creative services required for an event; all from the one source. Architecture, lighting, equipment, stage creation, print media and much more – exact, perfect and impressive.
