The New POOLgroup: Competence to the Power of 4
The group in its current form came into being in 2009 as the union of four already longstanding successful subsidiaries. In order to guarantee a high level of recognition in the market and to be able to provide our customers with numerous synergy effects, we merged these individual companies under the single umbrella of the POOLgroup. So you see: we are a young company but with a long tradition.
First Came Rock ‘n Roll
It all began in 1978 in the Münsterland town of Emsdetten, with the founding of Westfalen Sound – now called POOLsound. This makes us one of the oldest and best known companies in the European market for high quality sound engineering. Initially, the business was with rock ‘n roll, which is still an important area of work for us – as can be seen in the tours with the Rolling Stones or Metallica. However, we have long since also covered the entire spectrum of the sound engineering market.
Start of a New Era
For us, 1990 marked an important turning point. With the new founding of two sister companies, we took a large step towards becoming a comprehensive events service provider. As such, increasingly, the present POOLgroup took shape.
Let there be Light!
From sound engineering to lighting – an obvious step if you work in the events business. Light Concept approached the starting line as our specialists in light and lighting technology. Today, they trade as POOLlight.
Bespoke Events – For Any Requirement
The bigger an event, the more important precise planning is – well beyond purely technical input. Also in 1990, we gathered these professionals into one company, Trend Event – now POOLproduction. Both individual advice services and the responsible overall realisation of a complete event are available here.
When the Pictures Found Their Feet
In order to provide our customers with even more economic potential from one supplier, we then took up the moving picture in 1994. POOLpicture – previously MS Video – is the video service provider in our group, standing for proven media competence.
POOLcreation – Our Service Provider for All Things Creative
In POOLcreation, our newest unit, we have combined the entire creative competence of the POOLgroup. As such, we are able to offer our customers the required planning, design and creative services for events, from one supplier: architecture, lighting, equipment, stage set design, print media and much more.
